It fits the Optimus perfectly, not blocking anything; and it holds it quite securely. I used the mounting disk, sticking it onto the dashboard so I will be legal in California.

But I did not like that it blocked part of the vent and also was not completely stable. I use the windshield and the dash mounts now on both cars. Works great. It holds my HTC Evo 4g one of the biggest phones out there and it fits it great.

The prongs are in the way if you want to charge your phone while in the mount. You can reposition the phone in the holder for it to fit, however, or flip the phone...it would be nice if they made the prongs removable or adjustable.

The kit also fits my girlfriend's iPhone, so rest assured it's adjustable for a number of shapes. If you're planning to use the vent clip, beware that this is a fairly heavy stand, and that the vent attachment is less universal than the other mount options. This product gets the job done. I've had no issue with my phone (an Evo 4G) falling out, and I put in my vent and haven't had any issues with the weight pulling it out. The phone doesn't move too much if any while going down the road. And it's not a bad price.

This is still a bit disappointing, as in my car, mounting it on the windshield puts the phone up fairly high, which is why I wanted the vent mount. If you want a vent mount, I'd look elsewhere. Amazon promptly sent another one out, and it arrived within 24 hours. I am very happy with this product. I knew that many holders wouldn't fit the X. But, this one does, and it's solid.

The vent mount fits better in the 1989 but does just fine in the 2006 model. It fits my Evo snugly with the adjustable spring loaded arms when positioned horizontally or vertically.

This one doesn't have the problem and I imagine it would work perfectly with any phone. The product is very flexible and the suction cup works great. I have since found that the microphone on the Evo is on the bottom of the phone, and the position of the feet can block the microphone opening. If you slide the feet to a certain position, you can open the microphone and the voice control works much better. I love it and you should buy it. I bought this mount after reviewing many different mounts.
