It looks so elegant, supporting a sink on a slender stem - no wonder pedestal sinks are such favorite in bath fixture displays. Yes, they look good, and there's something appealing about their classic shape. What's more, they can make a small space bigger, especially one that housed a vanity previously.
Pedestal sink is complicated to install. You will lose a lot of space and remove your wall covering in order for you to install a cleat that will support the ruined. Indeed, Pedestal sink is a wall-mounted sink, and like all pedestals do, it obscures the waste line and traps, which will look very pleasing to see.

Reinstalling the drywall. You can now install the drywall again. Carefully measures the drywall and cut it perfectly. Compute and outline the holes for the plumbing lines. Using a drywall saw or a hole saw that cut these. With the use of a drywall screws and nails, you can now secure the studs.
There are three ways to install a sink-mounting hardware by attaching it to the wall and support the cleat. First, hang it on the bracket which is attached to the cleat. Second, with hanger bolts fastened the cleat. Or third, use both two ways. Whatever you use, you must make sure that you will set the sink on the pedestal and set each on the final position, which is against the wall. After that, you must mark through the mounting holes of the sink into the wall or just mark the location of the bracket. The next thing to do is to drill the recommended-sized holes for screws or bolts, and with the aid of a helper to hold the sink in the right place, while securing it with the hardware provided.
Install the faucet, tailpiece, and pop-up mechanism first, before you mount the sink to the wall because it?s easier that way. While securing the faucet installed with hardware provided, you can now set your pedestal sink in place.
