First, prepare the crust by mixing together flour, sugar and salt.
Mix in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse pieces.
Add egg yolk and water into the mixture.
Mix thoroughly till dough is smooth and combined.
Roll out the dough to 1/8 inch thick. Add flour to dough if it really is too sticky.
Gently set inside a pie plate and cut edges to fit. Employ fingers to form a clean edge for the pie shell.
To prepare the apple stuffing, peel and slice apples thinly.
Pour out lemon juice on apple slices to stop from browning.
Stir in sugar and cinnamon to apples, and then mix nicely.
Pour apple mixture evenly into pie shell and set aside.
To prepare the crumble, mix all ingredients in a bowl with a fork.
Spread crumble mixture uniformly above pie, slightly pushing down
